In Matthew 28:19-20 God said " Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." We are all God’s greatest handiwork, united in our identity in Christ as sons and daughters of the most High. When we learn about different people groups and countries we gain an understanding and appreciation for the diversity and beauty of God’s people. One never fully appreciates the freedom that they are given to worship God in the states until they are acquainted with how people across the borders from them will risk their lives to enjoy what we take advantage of daily. God uses ordinary available people to make an impact on this world and usher in His purpose for His people.
Before we embark on the journey to make disciples of all nations and touch all people groups with the word of God, we must be equipped to do so. Capital Christian Center has curated a program to educate people wanting to enter into the world of missions. Missions class is a 6 week training program for those who are interested in learning about God’s heart for the unreached. You will be hearing from real life missionaries that have made significant impacts all over the world. You will also be hearing from Bill Prevette a missionary professor from Vanguard University. The course will conclude with a night of celebration with the church where we will be honoring different cultures from all over the world with authentic food, dance, and more.
Mission school is for the individual that is yearning to go on a missions trip and immerse themselves in the field and go out to countries to make a difference, for the individual that wants to simply learn about God’s heart for people and His vision for the world, or for the individual that wants to get plugged into a group within Capital and make new connections and grow in Christ alongside their peers. We have a place for you! [Students, Young Adults, Adults]
