Dear Friends & Family of Capital, 

As we act in love and concern for the safety of our community and church families, we have decided to cancel Heatwave 2021. There has been a significant rise in Covid-19 cases in the Sacramento area. We also have volunteers and church attenders who have recently been exposed to Covid-19. Those exposed have taken the proper precautions of quarantining at this time.  

Our team has been planning and preparing for this event, and this is not a decision that we made hastily. There have been reports of local students coming back from other church camps that have also been exposed to this virus and therefore exposed their families. We do not want to put anyone at risk. Your safety is of our utmost concern. 

Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. We are looking forward to hosting you in the future. We will be issuing full refunds in the coming days. If you have any immediate questions, please email [email protected].  

Capital Kids will resume their Wednesday Midweek service at 7pm and Sunday services this weekend at 9 and 11am. Staff and volunteers will be wearing masks and we will be asking to take temperatures of kids before entering their age-appropriate rooms.
